JOB POSTING: Assistant Property Manager
📍 Location: San Francisco, CA
🕒 Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM | On-call availability required
💵 Compensation: $30–$33 per hour

ROLE SUMMARY
The Assistant Property Manager supports day-to-day operations of the front desk and supervises the desk clerk team. This role helps ensure the smooth and safe functioning of a supportive housing site, supports the Site Manager with operational tasks, and plays a key role in training, compliance, and resident relations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise, train, and schedule front desk staff
Enforce and uphold site policies, emergency procedures, and house rules
Collect and receipt rent payments, issue late notices, and support retention efforts
Maintain organized and timely resident records, including recertifications
Monitor communal areas for safety and order
Address resident concerns and incident reports in line with policy
Track and report maintenance issues; schedule repairs as needed
Conduct regular housekeeping inspections of resident units
Liaise with community agencies on resident quality of life
Fill in for desk staff when needed and respond to emergency calls
Maintain communication with leadership and ensure team compliance
Support payroll and timesheet tracking for desk clerks
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma required
At least 2 years’ experience in supportive or affordable housing (especially with seniors and families)
At least 1 year of supervisory experience (2+ years preferred)
Strong understanding of housing operations and property management
Familiarity with project-based subsidies or public housing a plus
Tax credit certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
Effective communication skills with diverse communities
Commitment to social justice and community advocacy
Valid California driver’s license and accessible phone number required
Experience in neighborhoods like San Francisco’s Tenderloin is a plus
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees Desk Clerk team
Pay Details: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
