Summary

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our client, a small creative firm, in Denver, CO. In this role, you will be focused on supporting the CFO by processing all day-to-day financial transactions, as well as assist with month-end and year-end close, annual budgets and forecasting. Compensation

The annual salary range is $80,000-$85,000, depending on experience. Hours and Location

This is Hybrid role; you will be expected to work in the Denver office (LoHi) 2+ days/week. Summer Fridays (Fridays off) will run from July 4^th through Labor Day.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the operations team to manage AP, invoicing, and collections
• Creating and posting journal entries for all receipts, payments, and other financial transactions
• Assisting with payroll and ensuring payroll deductions are timely and accurate
• Performing general ledger account reconciliations
• Supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, including balance sheet reconciliations and accruals
• Maintaining and updating reports for profit and loss, sales tax, liabilities, and assets
• Assisting with the collection and payment of sales tax liabilities
• Becoming the expert of Sage Intacct ERP
• Assisting the CFO with annual budgets, forecasting, and other tasks as needed

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience of professional full cycle accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent experience
• CPA certification with GAAP proficiency, preferred
• Knowledge of Sage Intaact, Avalara, and Ramp, preferred
• Multi-jurisdiction sales tax experience, preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail and deadlines
• Highly ethical and ability to maintain confidentiality
