Summary
We are looking for a Controller to join our client in a fast-paced, fast-changing, medium size company, yet start-up environment, where you will oversee the company financial activities and play a crucial role in managing accounting functions, analyzing financial information, and providing strategic recommendations to the senior leadership team.Compensation
The annual salary range is $150,000-$108,000 depending on experience. Benefits include a compelling total rewards package.Location
Based in Denver, CO. This role will require heavy travel to Clearwater, Florida in the first 3 months.Responsibilities
- Overseeing day-to-day and monthly transactions and accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, payroll) while leading the accounting team
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings
- Developing and implementing financial strategies and policies
- Managing the treasury function, including cash flow management, banking relationship, and investment strategies
- Hiring, developing, and leading high-performing teams
- Maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial activities
- Overseeing vendors and contracts; negotiating terms and eliminating inefficiencies
Qualifications
- 7-10 years senior leadership experience
- 3-5 years of relevant industry exp. ($300M>, med size company)
- Bachelor’s degree and CPA required
- Experience leading multi-site remote teams across geographic regions, time zones, and business entities across a matrix organization
- Balanced and passionate leader in tense, time-sensitive delivery environments
- Significant travel required
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Experience writing a universal revenue policy
