RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor daily activities of the QA Inspection Team, to ensure that internal and external customer requirements are addressed.
Interpret drawings, tolerances, and specifications, and applies this knowledge in the performance of duties.
Review and maintain internal quality data of various types to understand positive or negative trends and reports the findings to the appropriate stakeholders.
Maintain the records for the appropriate duration of time consistent with the market, governmental, or company established guidelines.
Explore new or improved test methods and equipment to ensure the accuracy of data produced, and provides timely feedback when processes are not within established control limits.
Ensure that all equipment and tool measurements are traceable to the appropriate national, state, local, or regulatory governing body requirements.
Establish a regular audit frequency for products, processes, and procedures to ensure continued compliance to internal and external customer and regulatory requirements.
Identify and initiate actions necessary to ensure that internal and external customer requirements are met and verify that improvement actions are timely meeting established standards.
Assist in training - Provide examples of defective products and explanation of reason of why they are defective to Inspectors and other personnel.
Be the communications conduit - Report to supervision (production / quality) any defective condition or unusual results/trends found in the applicable areas.
Drive Improvement - Identify opportunities for improvement such as more accurate measurement method, improved inspection, etc.
Work with Process Engineers, Machinists, Contractors, and Maintenance Mechanics/Technicians.
Use appropriate gauging equipment and methods to monitor and maintain quality in the parts produced.
Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or three to four years of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ISO 9001 working environment or similar experience is preferred
Ability to perform basic math functions, including English and Metric decimal system.
No food, pharma or service provider industry experience
