LHH is seeking an experienced PFS leader for our client in Phoenix. The VP of Patient Financial services will lead a team of 100 FTE’s, 2 Directors and 5 Managers in all areas of revenue cycle. This is an onsite/fully in-person position located in Mesa.

Job Summary:
The Vice President of Patient Financial Services (PFS) is tasked with leading the financial operations within the Patient Financial Services department. This role involves ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue cycle management, supervising the billing and collections processes, managing accounts receivable, and delivering financial analysis and reports to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Cycle Management: Formulate and implement strategies and policies to enhance financial performance and boost revenue.
Billing and Collections Oversight: Supervise the billing and collections processes, ensuring claims are submitted promptly and accurately, following up on outstanding claims, and effectively managing denials and appeals.
Accounts Receivable Management: Oversee accounts receivable to guarantee timely and precise billing and collections, monitor aging reports, and devise strategies to reduce the number of days accounts receivable are outstanding.
Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide senior leadership with financial analysis and reports, including trends in revenue and reimbursement, financial performance metrics, and recommendations for improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to develop and implement best practices for revenue cycle management, including process improvements and technology solutions.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations related to billing and collections, such as HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing revenue cycle team, offering leadership, coaching, and opportunities for professional growth.
Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor degree or higher in healthcare administration, finance, or related
10 years of experience in revenue cycle management
5 years of experience in a senior leadership role (Director or VP level)
Experience within ambulatory/medical air transportation required
