We are currently seeking applicants for a Financial Analyst with an excellent company in Winston-Salem. This role is responsible for managing large data sets to summarize outcomes and troubleshoot variances, and to maintain the business relationship with internal stakeholders.
An ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of finance and accounting experience, a strong technical acumen, and be available to start immediately.
Job Duties:
Perform the month-end financial close process including the preparation and posting of journal entries, the preparation of month end accruals and the preparation of general ledger account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
Evaluate and interpret monthly profit and loss income statements in order to analyze profitability of business units and help ensure all monthly journal entries have been properly posted.
Performs work as necessary for annual and interim budgets for the corporate related items
Work with Accounting Supervisor to research and resolve balance sheet reconciling items in a timely manner.
Assist with the preparation of schedules for the annual financial statement audit, participate in financial accounting system upgrades, participate in the annual close and roll of the general ledger, and perform other duties as assigned.
Research, interpret, and communicate appropriate accounting policies for complex accounting transactions.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual external reporting, audited financial statements, etc.
Support all business unit Finance personnel in managing balance sheet accountability, as well as support them in the monthly closing ad hoc reporting processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) with a major in accounting, finance or related field
2 – 4 years of prior accounting, finance or audit experience required, public accounting experience preferred
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial accounting concepts
This is an immediate need so applicants should be available to start on assignment immediately. Pay is dependent on experience but range is $27-34/hour.
