LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Demand Planning Specialist.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with multiple departments to gather forecasting data and build a usable demand planning process.
Analyze forecasts and historical data to develop a proactive approach to demand planning.
Create, monitor, and maintain various inventory sheets to manage large volumes of diverse inventories.
Maintain an ongoing awareness of forecasted, quoted, open, in-process, and shipped customer and supplier orders in detail.
Allocate supply to customer orders, considering the varying criteria that must be met by each order.
Develop robust inter-departmental and inter-company relationships to build a strong knowledge base and awareness of key variables in allocation decisions, such as warehouse capacity, manpower availability, packaging availability, lead time, etc.
Be prepared to perform and assist in various roles and projects in a dynamic environment.
Work with colleagues to understand their roles and responsibilities and provide backup coverage as needed.
Skills/Requirements:
College education preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Advanced proficiency in Excel.
Strong people skills.
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Experience in inventory and/or warehouse management is a plus.
Experience with trucking, rail, or import logistics and/or vendor relations is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 software is a plus.
