Administrative Assistant, Policy and Governance Technology Services (West Sacramento)

Are you ready to be at the forefront of policy and governance support in a dynamic and impactful organization? LHH is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to play a pivotal role in the Policy and Governance Technology Services department of a non-profit in West Sacramento, CA. This full-time, non-exempt, direct hire position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while enjoying a competitive salary and a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing program budgets.
  • Maintain records, reports, and processes invoices and expenses.
  • Provide administrative support, including document preparation, meeting coordination, and follow-up.
  • Promote the Association's values and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Support databases and information systems.
  • Screen visitors, calls, emails, and mail, providing information and resolving issues.
  • Manage calendars, schedules, and travel arrangements.
  • Coordinate and support virtual and in-person meetings, seminars, and events.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports and materials.
  • Maintain and organize physical and electronic files.
  • Operate standard office equipment and update website content.
  • Order supplies and process purchase requisitions and payments.
  • Analyze procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide administrative support across multiple departments.
  • Other duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Skilled in organizing and managing both in-person and virtual meetings and events.
  • Experience in assisting with budget management and administrative support.
  • Experienced in supporting a large team working remotely.
  • Adept at processing and tracking paperwork and documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Knowledgeable in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Experienced in handling travel arrangements and reimbursement processes.
  • Familiar with working in a hybrid team environment.
  • Highly attentive to detail in processes and procedures.
  • Experience in Non-Profit or Schools and Education industries a huge plus!

Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $20-$22/hour, depending on experience

Benefits: CalPERS

Hours: Full time, regular business hours. Hybrid schedule (2 days on-site, 3 days remote per week)
