Customer Service Representative


Location: Wall Township, NJ Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time 8am to 4:30pm Pay Rate: $24.00 – $31.00/hour (Based on experience)


Position Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role serves as the primary point of contact between customers and internal departments, ensuring a smooth and responsive customer experience. The ideal candidate will manage purchase orders, provide order status updates, and support on-time delivery of products and services. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.


Key Responsibilities



  • Process customer purchase orders, changes, and status updates


  • Ensure on-time product delivery and communicate any delays


  • Audit customer order data and line-of-balance reports


  • Prepare recovery schedules and escalate issues as needed


  • Participate in internal and external status meetings


  • Support customer performance metrics and forecast discussions


  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance with order requirements


  • Assist in resolving pricing, invoicing, and delivery discrepancies


  • Provide support for quotes, warranty tracking, and order documentation


  • Maintain confidentiality on sensitive projects and customer contracts


Qualifications


Education & Experience:



  • Associate degree or equivalent certification preferred


  • 3+ years of experience in customer service account management, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment


  • Experience with MRP systems is a plus


Skills:



  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


  • Basic proficiency in calculating discounts, percentages, and pricing


  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and correspondence


  • Comfortable presenting information to internal teams and customers


  • Attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines


  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
