LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Building Engineer to oversee the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of a Class A commercial property. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, and will work to ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of tenants while maintaining high standards of operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
Monitor and maintain the Building Automation System (BAS) to ensure proper system functionality.
Respond to tenant service requests in a timely and professional manner.
Conduct regular building inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively.
Oversee and coordinate work performed by vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance with company standards and budgets.
Assist with the development and implementation of energy management and sustainability initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes, including OSHA standards.
Provide support during building emergencies, including responding to after-hours calls as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing preferred.
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems.
Proficiency in using tools, equipment, and computer-based systems, including BAS and CMMS platforms.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with tenants, vendors, and team members.
Availability for on-call rotation and flexibility to respond to emergencies.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to [50 lbs].
Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform tasks in confined spaces.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
