Senior Payroll Manager (Salary Range: $130,000 - 150,000 + 20% Corporate Bonus + Eligibility for Equity)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Payroll Senior Manager for a consumer products company based in Austin, TX. This role involves overseeing all aspects of payroll operations across North America, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with payroll regulations, and leading both local and regional payroll teams.
In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, the ideal candidate will bring at least 8 years of experience managing payroll, particularly in the U.S. and Canada, and will have expertise in Workday and ADP systems. A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is highly preferred, and familiarity with Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements is a plus. The individual should also have excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Responsibilities
Manage and execute accurate and timely payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian employees, while supporting regional teams globally.
Partner with HR, Legal, Tax, and Accounting to streamline payroll processes and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Lead and mentor payroll team members, providing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
Conduct internal audits, ensure payroll compliance, and monitor regulatory changes affecting payroll practices.
Optimize and manage payroll systems such as Workday and ADP, ensuring system accuracy and integration with other platforms.
Handle inquiries and discrepancies from employees with a focus on service and resolution.
Oversee payroll-related aspects of global expansion and Employer of Record arrangements.
Generate reports and payroll insights for senior leadership to support decision-making.
Develop and implement scalable payroll procedures and process improvements to drive operational efficiency.
Maintain security and confidentiality standards for all employee payroll data.
Client Requirements
At least 8 years of experience in payroll management with deep knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll regulations; international experience is a bonus.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
CPP certification or equivalent professional payroll certification strongly preferred.
Prior experience using Workday and ADP payroll systems, along with knowledge of EOR structures.
Experience supporting payroll operations in consumer products, retail, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
