Position Overview: As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, and supporting the financial reporting process. This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting background who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and trends, providing actionable insights to management.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
- Maintain and ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal controls.
- Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
