Senior Accountant

LHH is looking for a full-time Senior Accountant to join our client-growing company in Seattle, WA. This position is fully onsite at the client location and will extend over a 6-month period.


Key Responsibilities



  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.


  • General Ledger Management: Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.


  • Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.


  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and report on variances.


  • Audit & Compliance: Coordinate and support internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.


  • Tax Preparation: Prepare and file corporate tax returns, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.


  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring the company has adequate liquidity to meet its obligations.


  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and provide actionable insights to management.


  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.


  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.


  • Skills:



    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)


    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting


    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)


    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills


    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy


    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines


    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, technology, healthcare]


  • Experience with ERP systems implementation and optimization


  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

Work Environment



  • Office environment with potential for remote work flexibility


  • Standard business hours with occasional overtime during peak periods



Compensation: $40.00-$50.00/hour
