LHH is looking for a full-time Senior Accountant to join our client-growing company in Seattle, WA. This position is fully onsite at the client location and will extend over a 6-month period.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
General Ledger Management: Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and report on variances.
Audit & Compliance: Coordinate and support internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Tax Preparation: Prepare and file corporate tax returns, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring the company has adequate liquidity to meet its obligations.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and provide actionable insights to management.
Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, technology, healthcare]
Experience with ERP systems implementation and optimization
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Work Environment
Office environment with potential for remote work flexibility
Standard business hours with occasional overtime during peak periods
Compensation: $40.00-$50.00/hour
