LHH is looking for a full-time Payroll Specialist to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and company policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for employees on a bi-weekly/monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Maintain and update payroll records, including wages, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings.

• Prepare and process direct deposits, tax filings, and wage garnishments.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.

• Address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee concerns regarding wages, deductions, and benefits.

• Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation.

• Generate payroll reports and provide analysis as needed.

• Stay up to date with changes in payroll regulations and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, or similar role.

• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and MS Excel.

• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor laws.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Compensation: $30-$35/hour DOE
