LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.



Job Overview:


The Full Charge Bookkeeper will oversee all aspects of the company’s financial record-keeping, including managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and maintaining the general ledger. This role requires comprehensive accounting knowledge, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Maintain and update all accounting records, including the general ledger.


  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.


  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.


  • Prepare and process payroll, including calculating and recording payroll taxes.


  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.


  • Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.


  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.


  • Prepare and file sales tax returns and other regulatory filings.


  • Monitor cash flow and manage cash disbursements.


  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.


  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.


  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.


  • Provide financial data and analysis to support management decision-making.


  • Manage and train junior accounting staff, if applicable.


  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Controller or CFO.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.


  • Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role.


  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.


  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.


  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.


  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.


  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.


  • High degree of confidentiality and professional ethics.


  • Experience with payroll processing and tax filings.


  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to accounting and financial reporting.


Compensation: $30-$34/hour DOE
