Billing Specialist

$28.00 - $32.00 per Hour


LHH is looking for a full-time Billing Specialist to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner.


  • Review invoices for accuracy, ensuring all billing data is correct and complies with company policies and procedures.


  • Process payments, including credit card transactions, checks, and electronic transfers.


  • Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes by investigating and communicating with customers and internal departments.


  • Maintain detailed and organized billing records and documentation.


  • Generate and distribute monthly billing statements.


  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.


  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliation of billing accounts and preparation of reports.


  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless billing operations and customer satisfaction.


  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes related to billing and financial reporting.


  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Billing Manager or Accounting Supervisor.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.


  • Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role.


  • Proficiency in billing software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).


  • Strong understanding of billing procedures and accounts receivable processes.


  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.


  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


  • High degree of confidentiality and professional ethics.


Compensation: $28-$32/hour DOE
