LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.
Job Overview
As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for supporting the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, posting payments, reconciling accounts, and communicating with customers. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and maintaining positive customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices.
Post and apply customer payments to appropriate accounts.
Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
Communicate with customers to resolve payment discrepancies and inquiries.
Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Prepare accounts receivable reports, including aging summaries.
Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts receivable.
Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business is a plus.
1+ year of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Basic understanding of accounting principles.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Compensation: $25-$30/hour DOE
