Job Title: HR Generalist

Pay range $85,000-95,000 annually


Location: San Jose or Palo Alto, CA (must be open to traveling to both locations when needed)


Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-6pm

We are looking for a dynamic HR Generalist to join our team and oversee HR functions across multiple states. This role involves providing comprehensive HR support, particularly in unionized environments, and ensuring smooth HR operations across diverse locations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multi-state HR management, union support, and general HR duties, and will be adept at navigating the unique challenges of each region. This candidate must also be open to traveling to East Coast once every quarter as needed.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage HR functions across multiple states, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations


  • Provide specialized support and guidance in unionized environments, including labor relations and negotiations


  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and benefits management


  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the company’s goals and legal requirements


  • Collaborate with management to address workforce issues and develop strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention


  • Coordinate and facilitate training and development programs for employees across various locations


  • Ensure workers' compensation compliance and contribute to safety initiatives to maintain a safe working environment


  • Travel occasionally to various company locations as required


Requirements:



  • Minimum 5+ years of HR experience


  • Experience working in unionized environments


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field


  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision


  • Must reside in the San Jose or Palo Alto area


  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)


  • Bilingual Spanish a plus


  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
