We seek a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to transfer data from paper formats into our computer systems or database for our client. The ideal candidate will have exceptional typing skills, accuracy, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.


Position: Temp Data entry (onsite)


Location: various in the West San Fernando Valley


Schedule: M-F 8 am- 5 pm


Pay: $20-$23

Responsibilities:



  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners.


  • Type in data provided directly from customers or other sources accurately and efficiently.


  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes.


  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents to ensure accuracy.


  • Update and maintain existing data within databases and electronic files.


  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested by team members or clients.


  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation and integrity.


  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost and maintain an orderly workspace.


Requirements:



  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar position.


  • Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing system preferred.


  • Proficient in MS Office and data programs; experience with database management a plus.


  • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.


  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.


  • Organizational and time-management skills.


  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle unexpected issues.


  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
