Accounts Payable Clerk
LHH is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client in San Francisco for a 6-month contract! As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. Don’t wait to apply today!!
Key Responsibilities:
· Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner
· Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
· Verify accuracy of vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies as needed
· Prepare and process vendor payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer
· Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding balances
· Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
· Assist with month-end close activities and provide support for audits
· Respond to vendor inquiries and address payment-related issues promptly and professionally
· Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payment processing
Requirements:
· 2-3 years of accounts payable experience
· High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in accounting or related field preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
· Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Experience working in a fast-paced environment is preferred
Pay Rate: $28 - $31 per hour
