Key Responsibilities of this Staff Accountant job in San Diego include:
Craft and record journal entries to streamline the month-end closing process.
Match bank transactions with the general ledger and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records.
Handle sales and use tax transactions, preparing and submitting tax reports in line with regulatory requirements.
Reconcile fixed asset transactions to ensure proper capitalization and depreciation, and maintain up-to-date fixed asset records.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
Accurately post intercompany transactions and process monthly intercompany payments as per agreements.
Provide timely and accurate financial information to both internal and external stakeholders, offering support to ensure their satisfaction.
Participate actively in the planned implementation of InforM3, providing insights and support for successful integration.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting.
2+ years of experience in accounting or general ledger roles.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP.
Analytical with the ability to effectively interpret financial data.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Ability to work independently while being a proactive team player.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
