Who Are We Looking For? This is not a run-of-the-mill DBA position. We are looking for a superstar to lead and own the database platforms. This position will be responsible for all architectural and operational database administration functions for Oracle, SQL Server, Synapse, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
Responsibilities:
Plan, engineer, design, implement, and manage database services
Responsible for configuration, maintenance, and capacity planning for technologies in scope
Execute project engineering and solution processes for technologies in scope
Develop, implement, and communicate the database architecture, engineering, and standards strategy
Create and execute an Architecture Standards Board (ASB) strategy
Implement the strategy for the operational OLTP and BI platform
Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with strategic partners
Monitor, report, and implement standards used by business applications
Monitor and report the technology lifecycle and roadmap
Stay abreast of technical trends and identify new opportunities for technology use
Execute capacity planning and monitoring processes
Develop, monitor, report, and present key database performance metrics
Maintain and administer the stability of the enterprise database environment
Develop and govern proper database security
Work with vendors in evaluating and implementing new technologies
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
10+ years of technical database leadership and administration experience required
Strong background and understanding of database technologies, standards, and best practices
Healthcare (HIPAA) background preferred
Deep knowledge and experience with Oracle technologies (Oracle Certified Master, Oracle EE Database 19c+, Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle RAC/Grid Control/ASM, Oracle OEM and RMAN, Oracle Licensing concepts)
Beneficial knowledge and experience with Microsoft Certified DBA (MCDBA), Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS & Data Factory, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Licensing concepts
