LHH is partnering with a stable construction company in San Diego to hire a Certified Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing certified payroll for approximately 100 to 150 employees. This role requires a high level of accuracy and compliance with various regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process certified payroll for 100 to 150 employees.
Enter and verify information in LCP Tracker, DIR, PRISM, and OCIP.
Manage compliance with DAS 140/142 and Davis Bacon regulations.
Assist with internal audits to ensure compliance.
Calculate and process employee salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation.
Ensure accuracy in tax withholdings, deductions, and other relevant payroll components.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records.
Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors.
Prepare reports for upper management.
Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and labor laws affecting payroll.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience with certified payroll processing/auditing with prevailing wage experience.
Experience with PRISM, LCP Tracker, and OCIP.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in a construction company or similar industry.
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the prevailing wage field.
Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
