Job Description:


LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Data Analyst to support our client's applications covering accounts receivable, retail billing, and customer care activities. This position involves end user support, system access, mass updates, and ad-hoc data requests. The role also includes developing functional and technical business requirements, testing modifications to systems and interfaces, and supporting users through various phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will be adept at utilizing query tools to analyze, read, and retrieve data from various databases and will be the primary contact for addressing end user issues promptly.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:



  • Lead the development and maintenance of detailed requirements based on an understanding of the client’s business processes, data, and applications.


  • Gain expertise in business process, IT process, applications, and data pertinent to the team and client, mastering new topics swiftly.


  • Become an expert user of applications and systems to support both internal and external clients.


  • Create and perform tests to ensure requirements are met and identify use cases for test automation.


  • Timely entry, escalation, and general management of user requests and issues.


  • Provide management and stakeholders with accurate updates on the status of new development, enhancement requests, and issues.


  • Address questions regarding requirements, testing, client needs, issues found, and resolutions.


  • Utilize work management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and data analytics tools including Power BI, SQL queries, and Excel models.

Qualifications:



  • 2-4 years of work experience in related functions or verified proficiency in performing similar tasks.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.


  • Proficiency in process automation, general business analysis, and application support.


  • Strong SQL and Excel skills.


  • Experience with Agile methodology.


  • Data analysis and visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI).


  • Knowledge of Python, R, or Alteryx.


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


  • Self-directed, goal-oriented, and able to learn independently.


  • Strong initiative, advanced decision-making skills, and problem-solving abilities.


  • Project and product management experience is a plus.


  • Programming experience preferred, with a strong preference for SQL scripting experience.


  • Ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences and teach team members in-depth.


  • Efficient time management across multiple assignments in coordination with team members.


  • High performance in an open and dynamic team environment.


  • Ability to break down complex business processes to identify requirements, create test scenarios, and produce training documentation.


  • Experience working within a Scrum team and Agile environment.


  • Experience with SDLC is a plus.


  • Proactive in learning and teaching complex business processes.
