Our client, a leading innovator in technology, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Software Engineering Manager to join their dynamic team in Sacramento, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented group of software engineers and drive the development of cutting-edge technology solutions.


Position Overview: As the IT Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the software engineering team, managing projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products. You will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of the company and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.


  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.


  • Ensure that software projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


  • Develop and implement best practices, coding standards, and agile methodologies.


  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to team members.


  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.


  • Manage resource allocation, project planning, and risk management.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.


  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.


  • Proven track record of successfully managing software engineering teams and delivering complex software projects.


  • Strong technical background with expertise in [relevant technologies, programming languages, and frameworks].


  • Excellent project management skills and experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).


  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and innovatively.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.


  • Experience with DevOps practices and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
