Our client, a leading innovator in technology, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Software Engineering Manager to join their dynamic team in Sacramento, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented group of software engineers and drive the development of cutting-edge technology solutions.
Position Overview: As the IT Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the software engineering team, managing projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products. You will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of the company and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Ensure that software projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Develop and implement best practices, coding standards, and agile methodologies.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
Manage resource allocation, project planning, and risk management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully managing software engineering teams and delivering complex software projects.
Strong technical background with expertise in [relevant technologies, programming languages, and frameworks].
Excellent project management skills and experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and innovatively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with DevOps practices and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
