Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH is hiring! We are dedicated to maintaining accurate accounts receivable and providing excellent customer service. Join our team and contribute to our financial accuracy and success. The Accounts Receivable Specialist I is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of accounts receivable. This includes managing account balances, payments, and reconciliations. The Specialist provides exceptional customer service regarding billing and premium-related questions and educates brokers, large groups, and individual account holders about any changes affecting their accounts.
Representative Duties:
Maintain accurate and current accounts receivable balances.
Assist callers with credit card and e-check payments.
Educate callers on billing and payment tools.
Stay updated on payment options.
Use Facets Application Software to answer questions and process transactions.
Log and post incoming checks, and forward to the lockbox.
Correct daily errors from lockbox receipts.
Review and forward lockbox correspondence.
Update paperless billing options and process EFT forms.
Handle APTC Subgroup Change Reports.
Create and maintain billing reports.
Process returned mail.
Perform administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma.
1 year experience in billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, or a similar field—specifically with basic account reconciliation and customer service.
10-key with speed and accuracy.
Experience working with Facets Application Software is a plus.
Previous experience working in the health care industry, preferably HMO, is a plus.
Intermediate computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Specifically, the ability to create formulas and graphs in Excel.
