Buyer

LHH is ramping up a search for a Buyer in the Metro Detroit area. The Buyer will be responsible for the negotiation of long-term agreements and program award agreements as well as the responsibilities below. The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Develops strategy to achieve results.
• Ability to work in a highly productive, constantly changing environment.
• Data driven analysis and negotiating techniques.
• Thorough understanding of product cost drivers
• Superior conflict resolution skills/relationship management
• Protect or enhance company margins by coordinating lowest cost sourcing, maintaining or improving material margins through launch, and driving post-launch cost reduction idea generation/implementation.
• Independent workload prioritization, focusing efforts on the most critical and impactful activities.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years experienced buyer
• Experience with international and domestic vendors
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong written communication and presentation skills
