Accounts Receivable Clerk

Location: Riverside

Pay: $25-30/hour, based on experience

Contract to hire

Construction industry experience required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable Management: Facilitate all aspects of construction-related billing and collections.

  • Project Accounting: Handle the setup, maintenance, and billing for projects, working closely with Project Managers to ensure accuracy.

  • Invoice Processing: Prepare and verify invoices for both construction and service contracts in compliance with contract terms.

  • Lien Waiver Management: Prepare and process lien waivers while ensuring subcontractor and supplier documentation aligns with California Mechanic’s Lien Laws.

  • Cost Monitoring: Track job costs, address billing milestones with superintendents, and manage over- and under-billing issues.

  • Collections: Follow up on overdue invoices, make collection calls, and maintain positive cash flow.

  • Project Closeout: Collaborate with operations to finalize project records and ensure audit-ready documentation.

  • Additional Tasks: Support the Controller and AR Manager with special projects and other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; further training in Accounts Receivable is an advantage.

  • 2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally within the construction industry.

  • Proficient in managing high workloads and fast-paced environments.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.



Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
