Job Overview:
To successfully support the organization’s growth, we are seeking a self-starting Business Manager who is responsible for leading business operations in several areas including Learning and Development and University Relations & Engagement.
This role involves strategic planning to align org objectives with org health, partnering with people from various orgs at all levels to implement plans, and instituting business procedures to meet the company's goals for growth and accelerate employee development, performance, and impact.
We are seeking a top talent employee who thrives in a fast-paced tech environment to develop and grow our organization’s capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have strong management and collaboration skills to partner with executive sponsors, business leaders, business managers, communications, HR, Finance, University Relations, and other orgs to create, launch and run the SCHIE objectives.
This position will lead the vision of this program with some supervision and create the business rhythms, infrastructure, and partnerships across functions to achieve our goals.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to and are subject to changing priorities across the team:
• Build and sustain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, universities, student organizations, professional associations, and diversity groups.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross functional partners to ensure strategic alignment for long-term goal setting and execution
• Identify opportunities for SCHIE to take a position of leadership when it comes to university engagement & recruiting, learning & development
• Optimize operational process flows and identify ways to enhance program and business partner experiences.
• Identify and implement new opportunities to connect SCHIE with future talent including high school STEM programs, sponsorships and more.
• Ensure the end-to-end experiences of programs are repeatable, scalable, and align with Microsoft core values.
• Evaluate effectiveness of programs on an ongoing basis, including collecting and analyzing data and research to identify opportunities and optimize strategy and delivery.
• Prepare executive-level reporting on key metrics and project status and share updates regularly.

• Cross-Group Collaboration: working with stakeholders, content contributors, and SMEs across multiple organizations within Microsoft will be a key to your success.
• Project Management: there will always be a lot of moving parts, so having solid project management skills is critical to success.
• Creativity: Ability to open minds through creative communication as it relates to University Recruiting and Relations and Learning and Development programs to help increase employee engagement through new channels, styles, and challenging the “ordinary”
• Execution Excellence: a keen eye for detail, the ability to see the details and ensure their accuracy, and a drive to ensure the work you do is high-quality, reliable and predictable.
