Job title: Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Portland, OR Type: Contract LHH Recruiting Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client’s team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. If you’re passionate about numbers and have experience in accounting, we’d love to hear from you! Position Overview:
  • Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
  • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
  • Analyzing workflow processes.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing due invoices for payments.
  • Performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of account.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate payment of bills and payroll while adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 plus years of accounts payable experience, preferably in the electric sector.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
Additional Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
