Payroll Processor

LHH Recruitment is working with a construction organization near Downtown Phoenix. This company is in search of a payroll processor to join their team. This role is Monday-Friday 7am-4pm, fully on site.

As a Payroll Processor, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our construction workforce. You will handle multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including certified payroll. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be key to your success in this role.


Responsibilities:


  • Process payroll for a multi-state workforce
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of weekly and bi-weekly payrolls
  • Maintain employee records and ensure payroll data is up to date
  • Calculate and process deductions, benefits, and overtime
  • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports
  • Handle payroll inquiries from employees and resolve any issues or discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure proper record-keeping and reporting
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information

Requirements:


  • College experience is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have multi-state payroll experience
  • Certified payroll experience preferred
  • Knowledge of construction industry payroll processes is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
