We're seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Medical Collector. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring the financial health of our organization and supporting the critical mission of providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management: Oversee and manage patient accounts, ensuring accurate and timely collections of outstanding balances.
Communication: Engage with patients, insurance companies, and medical staff to resolve billing issues and expedite payments.
Data Analysis: Utilize your analytical skills to review account histories and identify trends, implementing strategies to improve collections.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of all interactions and transactions, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.
Problem-Solving: Proactively address and resolve any discrepancies or disputes in billing, providing exceptional customer service to patients and stakeholders.
Collaboration: Work closely with the billing department and other team members to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical collections, insurance follow up.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in medical billing and coding is a plus.
Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Attributes: Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively. A proactive and positive attitude is essential.
Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare regulations, insurance processes, and patient confidentiality standards.
This position is ONSITE. Monday to Friday
