Location: Central Phoenix, AZ


Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 per year


Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite


About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Analyst to join our client's team in Phoenix. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health of our organization and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess at least three years in accounting, strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and proficiency in SAP.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate and manage credit risk.
  • Approve or deny credit applications based on company policies.
  • Oversee daily cash application processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of payments to customer accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of month-end journal entries.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports to management.
  • Analyze financial results and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and forecasting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Streamline accounting procedures and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Assist with audit preparations and respond to audit inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights for various business initiatives.
  • Support management with data-driven recommendations.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in SAP is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
