LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing manufacturing company seeking an experienced Accounting Manager. The manufacturing facility and corporate office is in Philadelphia County and is implementing a new ERP system to enhance operations. This role offers a unique blend of plant accounting, corporate general ledger (G/L) accounting, and close collaboration with our operations team.


The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions within the manufacturing facility, with a particular emphasis on cost accounting. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing the financial operations of the plant, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the CFO in various corporate accounting tasks. The successful candidate will also play a key role in the implementation and optimization of the new ERP system. You will oversee one Staff Accountant and report directly to the CFO.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage all aspects of cost accounting within the manufacturing facility, including product costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
  • Oversee the general ledger accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning, providing analysis and recommendations to the CFO.
  • Participate in the implementation of the new ERP system, providing expertise and ensuring proper integration of accounting processes.
  • Supervise and mentor the Staff Accountant, providing guidance and support in day-to-day accounting tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and production teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial planning.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on cost accounting.
  • Proven experience with corporate G/L accounting and financial reporting.
  • ERP implementation is a plus.
  • Ability to work onsite in Philadelphia County, PA, 5 days per week.

Compensation:


$110,000-$115,000
