Tax Accountant- Olathe, KS LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client in Olathe, KS looking to fill their Tax Accountant role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, compliance, and planning for individuals and businesses. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax returns, providing tax advice, and staying up to date with the latest tax regulations. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients to optimize their tax positions.
- Research and interpret tax regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential tax savings.
- Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive financial services to clients.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compensation: $52,000-68,000 annually
- Location: Fully onsite in Olathe, KS: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
