Senior Accountant

$45.00 - $50.00 per Hour

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients looking to fill an Senior Accountant job opportunity for the corporate office located in Oakland, CA. This position is 100% in-office! The ideal candidate will have experience working within a non-profit organization and have 5 years of senior level accounting experience. The role will be responsible for processing bank reconciliations, preparing journal entries, accounts payable, allocations, accounts receivable, grant accounting and tracking, sales tax return, and assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Strong General Accounting experience (GL, AP, AR)
  • Solid knowledge of general accounting knowing your debits and credits (reconciliations & journal entries)
  • Industry experience within non-profit would be preferred
  • Software experience with a medium to large ERP is preferred
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Solid communications skills (written & verbal)
  • Team player, helpful, willing and quick to learn
  • Reliable, dedicated, and a thoughtful decision maker
  • Detailed, a problem-solver, and organized

Experience: 5 years of experience as a senior accounting professional (Senior Accountant)
