Job Description:


As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the technological infrastructure of our partnered company. You will be responsible for providing technical support, managing IT-related issues, and overseeing the procurement of laptops and other hardware.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly.


  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and network configurations.


  • Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and other systems.


  • Oversee the purchasing and inventory management of laptops, ensuring timely procurement and deployment.


  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure quality hardware procurement.


  • Maintain detailed documentation of technical support incidents, hardware inventory, and procurement processes.


  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and peripherals.


  • Conduct regular system audits and updates to ensure optimal performance and security.


  • Provide training and support to staff on IT-related matters and best practices.


  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives to improve and enhance the company’s technology landscape.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.


  • Proven experience in an IT support role, with a strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and software.


  • Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as common office software.


  • Experience with purchasing and inventory management of IT hardware, particularly laptops.


  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.


  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.


  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or similar are a plus.


  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Employment type: ongoing contract
