Job Title: Bilingual Resource & Referral Counselor


Location: Onsite in Oakland Pay: $25-27 per hour Language Requirement: Must be bilingual in Spanish (MAM language skills are a plus)


Job Description:


As a Bilingual Resource & Referral Counselor, you will work closely with the Family Services team to support families in identifying and securing child care options, while also ensuring family engagement and stability.


Key Responsibilities:


Resource Referral Counseling & Outreach Services:



  • Collaborate with the Family Services team in a fast-paced environment, supporting clients' needs.


  • Provide resource and referral counseling sessions to parents, helping with child care searches and identifying subsidy options.


  • Enroll families in programs that strengthen family stability and support.


  • Represent the agency at parent education workshops, community fairs, and outreach events.


  • Support and participate in family engagement efforts through parent education initiatives.


Referral Database & Provider Support Services:



  • Maintain and update a referral database, ensuring accuracy for quality assurance.


  • Provide support to family child care providers and centers by managing program profiles.


  • Conduct outreach and intake sessions with newly licensed child care providers.


  • Perform data entry, run reports, and conduct basic data analysis.


  • Oversee the online provider portal update process and develop outreach plans for provider awareness.


  • Offer technical assistance and training to providers through group training and one-on-one support.


Administrative Support:



  • Assist in creating outreach materials that inform providers and parents about core services.


  • Help develop onboarding and training materials for new staff.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour Search managed by: Brandie Bowen
