LHH is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bilingual Dental Representative to manage front-end billing, scheduling, referrals, and patient interactions. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient operation of our practice and ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care. If you have experience in medical billing, that's a plus! Responsibilities:
Schedule appointments, make reminder calls, confirm appointments, and check patients in and out.
Greet and register patients, answer phones, screen calls, and take messages.
Use Dentrix and manual systems to create and update patient records for bookkeeping, billing, and scheduling.
Prepare patient records and verify eligibility with Member Services or medical clinic authorization.
Handle all pre-authorization procedures with insurance or payors.
Provide patients with treatment cost estimates in a clear and respectful manner.
Provide out-of-clinic referrals and follow-ups as instructed.
Manage electronic and manual processing of billable services, post payments, reconcile patient accounts, and handle insurance claims.
Receive payments, maintain accurate bookkeeping, and ensure safekeeping and timely submission of cash collections.
Process incoming/outgoing mail, inter-office communications, faxes, and copying.
Assist other staff with tasks such as language interpretation when appropriate and time allows.
Qualifications:
High school diploma
A minimum of one year of experience in dental office front desk duties, including insurance eligibility verification, treatment pre-authorization, and patient billing
Training in dental or medical terminology, preferably some formal training in dental assisting
Bilingual in Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese (conversational or native proficiency)
Monday to Friday, with Saturday rotation.
