Job Title: Product Manager



LHH is seeking an experienced Product Manager or Senior Product Manager for a 9-month remote contract to support the implementation of a modern Point of Sale (POS) system. Ideal candidates will have a background in retail and experience with POS technologies, plus a strong agile product management approach. This role requires someone resourceful, proactive, and comfortable with discovery and requirements gathering independently.



Key Responsibilities:



  • POS Implementation: Lead the product management of a modern POS implementation, ensuring alignment with business needs and seamless integration with retail operations.


  • Discovery & Requirements Gathering: Conduct exploratory discovery sessions, gather requirements with minimal oversight, and collaborate closely with SMEs and technical partners.


  • Agile Product Management: Manage the product lifecycle in an agile environment, from concept to delivery, utilizing agile methodologies to adapt and refine the product roadmap.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across teams to ensure a shared understanding of the product vision and to guide priorities based on customer and business needs.


  • Proactive Problem Solving: Tackle challenges resourcefully, making data-driven decisions to navigate and resolve issues throughout the product lifecycle.



Qualifications:



  • Experience: Proven background in product management, ideally with experience in retail and point of sale systems.


  • Technical Understanding: Familiarity with POS technology and related retail systems; ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.


  • Agile Proficiency: Strong agile product management skills with experience in product discovery, backlog management, and requirements gathering.


  • Self-Starter: Highly proactive and comfortable working independently, with a resourceful approach to problem-solving and decision-making.


  • Remote Work Capability: Comfortable working remotely within mainland U.S. time zones.
