HR Business Partner - Compliance

LHH is partnering with a Newport Beach area client seeking a Compliance Supervisor. This ideal candidate for this role has a passion for Human Resources, specializing in Compliance.



As an HR leader this role guides leaders of different levels within the organization through matters involving local, State and Federal employment laws.



Key Responsibilities:



Work closely with the Legal team to keep abreast of federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, impacting multi-state Store & Support Associates.


Oversee the extensive Background Check process to ensure complete compliance and manage vendor relationships.


Implement new policies and procedures, prepare communication and training resources, and educate corporate and frontline leaders on employment law requirements and associated company policies and processes.


Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation and other departments to audit, monitor, develop, and implement compliance programs, policies, and processes.


Lead efforts in researching, developing, drafting, publishing, and distributing the employee handbook. Update company leaders on policy changes, updates, and necessary system configuration modifications.


Review and refresh HR training materials as needed to maintain compliance training standards.



Qualifications and Experience:


Bachelor???s degree in Business or Human Resources, or equivalent work experience.


PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred


5+ years of experience in Multi-State, Multi-Site Human Resources Compliance, Employment Law, or similar roles within a large organization.


3 + years of supervisory experience as a team leader.


Extensive knowledge and experience in hiring, employee relations, wage and hour laws, and local/state and federal compliance.


Proven track record in influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $135,000.00 per year Search managed by: Lily Babigian
