Litigation Legal Assistant/Office Assistant – New York, New York LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a fulltime Litigation Legal Assistant/Office Assistant with at least 5 years of litigation experience to work on a full-time basis. The ideal Candidate will primarily support firm partners and attorneys and be able to help with litigation support, to include some admin work like, time entry, billing support, expense reports, opening new matters, travel planning and the like. The litigation skills should include high typing speed and accuracy, ability to draft, edit and merge complex legal documents and the ability to blackline and redline documents as needed and be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat, PDF and Pro and be adept at filing legal documents in multi-district Federal Courts. Responsibilities · Review and draft routine legal correspondence and legal documents (Tables of Contents and Tables of Authority) and redline and blackline same as needed · Utilizing Word Processing Skills with high proficiency (typing at minimum 65 wpm) · Provide quality legal assistance by calendaring and scheduling as required · Maintain confidentiality and follow filing rules and guidelines required by various court systems and standard state rules and regulations · File documents via e-filing system in various courts including but not limited to multi-district NYSCEF and Federal Courts (have experience using Pacer) · Administrative functions and duties such as managing logistics, handling time entry, billing support, expense reports, opening new matters, travel planning as needed Qualifications · 5-10 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, Legal Word Processor (working in class action litigation) · Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required · Strong organizational and communication skills · Transcription experience both digital and analog · Strong organizational and communication skills · Proficiency and knowledge of standard MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Adobe Benefits This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients.
