LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled professional to manage the compliance of 871m Phase 2 Regulation for Listed Options and Securities Custody. This role involves detailed analysis, project management, and coordination across various departments. The ideal candidate has experience with tax documents and implications related to securities along with advanced excel skills. This is a long-term 12 month contract with one of the country’s most well respected financial institutions.
Position: Global Banking & Markets Operations SME / Business Analyst
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Conduct research on tax reporting and withholding for US clients.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Experience with tax documents.
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
Knowledge of W-8 and W-9 forms.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with 1099 and 1042 forms.
Familiarity with 871 regulations.
Background in tax reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze 871m Phase 2 rules for Listed Options and Securities Custody products and develop detailed business requirements.
Project manage the Asset Services Operations work stream, coordinating activities across Change Management, Global Tax Policy, and Technology.
Collaborate with Change Management to develop high-level plans and timelines.
Track and communicate delivery status.
Identify and manage project risks and issues.
Adhere to enterprise change management standards.
Define functional requirements with end users and prepare for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Oversee UAT execution and production parallel activities.
Required Skills:
In-depth knowledge of 871m rules and regulations for Listed Options and Securities Custody products.
Understanding of trade position management (buy/sell trades, transfers, journal entries, etc.).
Experience with operational processing in global markets, particularly related to 871m (corporate actions and dividends).
Strong understanding of US tax withholding and reporting concepts.
Proven track record of delivering complex projects on schedule.
Ability to manage and communicate with stakeholders at various levels.
Familiarity with structured project management methods.
Experience in requirements gathering and test preparation.
Background in financial services.
