LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract opportunity in Natomas, California. This role requires you to be fluent in both English and Spanish. Your duties will include managing all aspects of the accounts payable process.. Ideally you will ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintain strong relationships with vendors, and support the overall financial operations of the company.
PLEASE NOTE: This role requires you to be fluent (spoken and written) in English and Spanish. Also, all duties are performed at the client’s office in Natomas, California.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Process and review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Accurately enter invoice data into the accounting system.
Perform day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities, including electronic transfers and payments.
Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
Maintain and update vendor files, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Assist with month-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliation of accounts payable ledger.
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and in compliance with contract terms.
Prepare and support the documentation required for audits, including detailed records of transactions and approvals.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
Translate financial documents and communications between English and Spanish as needed.
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
