LHH is hiring a Logistics Analyst for a 6month contract role with a company in the Milwaukee area. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing the international movement of freight, ensuring efficient, timely, and cost-effective transportation across global markets.
Freight Analysis: Analyze data related to international freight movement, including shipping costs, transit times, and carrier performance. Audit data reported by carriers and freight forwarders
Drive selection process for service providers including ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and import truckers
Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency of freight movement, reduce costs, and improve service levels. Utilize data to make informed decisions and recommendations.
Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with international carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners. Negotiate contracts and rates to secure the best services and prices.
Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with international trade regulations and customs requirements. Stay updated on changes in regulations and advise the team accordingly.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to freight movement. Provide regular updates and insights to management.
Type: 6 month Contract, hybrid position
Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
Pay: $40.00-$50.00+ an hour
