LHH is hiring a Freight Analyst for a company in the Milwaukee area. You would be responsible for analyzing and optimizing freight operations to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of products. This involves data analysis, carrier performance evaluation, and logistics strategy development. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
Analyze freight costs and logistics processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Develop and maintain freight rate databases and performance metrics.
Evaluate carrier performance, negotiate rates, and recommend carrier selections based on cost, service, and reliability.
Collaborate with the shipping and receiving departments to streamline logistics operations.
Prepare and present detailed reports on freight performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes that could impact freight costs and logistics operations.
Support the implementation of new logistics strategies and technologies.
Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, will be required to go onsite once a week
Pay: $38.00-$48.00+ an hour based on experience
