Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Temp/Temp-to-Hire Accountant to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be ready to dive in and contribute immediately, bringing a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to the role. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and the potential for permanent employment based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Support the implementation of accounting software and process improvements.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and its application.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
