Summary: LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Technical Supervisor for our client’s plastic injection molding facility. This role is critical in overseeing the technical operations, ensuring production goals are met, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics injection molding, technical troubleshooting, and team leadership, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct mold changeovers, equipment setup, and start-up under the guidance of the Supervisor and following Work Instructions.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor and achieve production targets consistently.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes.
  • Report and document any unsafe conditions, near-misses, and incidents, while also contributing to the development of preventive measures.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in maintenance areas, ensuring equipment and tools are well-kept.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all operations.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and training to shift personnel to enhance their skills and performance.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certification in Master Molder or equivalent Scientific Molding is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in coaching, leadership, and team building.
  • Understanding of cost savings, waste elimination, and labor reduction strategies.

  • Minimum of 2 years in a Supervisory or Leadership role within Plastics Injection Molding.
  • At least 5 years in a Technical role within Plastics Injection Molding.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of mechanics.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining robotics and industrial automation systems.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Leadership in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
Details:
  • Employment type: Direct Hire
  • Compensation: $68,000 – 73,000 annually
  • Work hours: multiple shifts available
