Job: Injection Molding Technical Supervisor


Location: Mebane, NC


Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plastic Injection Molding Technical Supervisor to join a great team in Mebane, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastic injection molding, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience. A Master Molder or RJG certification is a significant advantage. This role involves supervising molding machine operators, maintaining equipment, and ensuring that all production processes adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Work schedule will mostly be swing shifts of 12 hour days.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervision and Leadership:
  • Lead, supervise, and train a team of molding machine operators.
  • Schedule and oversee daily production activities to meet production goals.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Set up and optimize plastic injection molding machines for production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve molding machine issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and repair equipment as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Monitor production processes to ensure high quality and efficiency.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve molding processes.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that all products meet quality standards and GMP regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the quality control team.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, machine maintenance, and quality inspections.
  • Prepare reports on production efficiency, machine performance, and any issues encountered.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and company requirements.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding.
  • Master Molder or RJG certification is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic materials, molding processes, and equipment maintenance.
  • Proven experience in supervising and leading a production team.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and GMP compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.

Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical degree or certification in a related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing for extended periods and working in a manufacturing environment.
